5. CANUTEC:  
   
5.1 This 24-hour-a-day emergency response and information service is designed to help authorities at the scene of an accident involving a dangerous product.
   
5.2 Although CANUTEC was set up to provide advice in case of emergencies, its staff is also prepared to provide information on the packaging, classification and marking of dangerous goods, as well as their safe handling and transportation.
   
5.3 Where it cannot provide the specific information requested, it would refer the caller to the appropriate agency or endeavour to obtain such information from the agency.

6. FIREFIGHTING FOAM:  
   
6.1 CVECO has a mutual aid system to supply CVECO members with emergency supplies of foam.

22. T. E. A. P.  
   
22.1 TEAP is the Transportation Emergency Assistance Plan operated as a �Hands On� service by the Canadian Chemical Producers' Association on behalf of member companies who may also operate the Regional Response Centers (RRC's).
   
22.2 TEAP provides immediate advice to those at the scene of a transportation emergency and hands on response when requested by the member company whose product is involved in the incident.
   
22.3 TEAP provides immediate advice to those at the scene of a transportation emergency, then contacts the shipper for follow-up. If the shipper cannot be contacted, or cannot respond quickly enough, on-scene assistance will be provided from the Regional Response Center.
   
22.4 TEAP provides complete coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, at the Regional Response Center operated across the country. In the CVECO area of responsibility, the RCC is provided by:

22.5 It is important to understand that TEAP is not intended and is not equipped to function as a public response organization. By design, it is confined to dealing with chemical transportation emergencies on behalf of its members.
   
22.6 TEAP�s assistance at the scene of a transportation incident where the shipper cannot be located, or, where the shipper is not able to respond immediately can be requested through CANUTEC.
   
22.7 For general chemical information can be obtained from CANUTEC.
