Basell Polyolefins began operations in 1978 as Shell Canada Products, manufacturing Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and Polypropylene (PP) resin. IPA is used as a solvent and cleaner in many industries. You may recognize it as a main ingredient in your car’s windshield washer fluid. PP resins are used in numerous consumer household products from clothing and carpeting to food safe storage containers.
