CODES
The Chemical Valley Emergency Coordinating Organization (CVECO) Manual is used by industry to coordinate a systematic response to any emergency regardless of location or severity. The following is a �quick reference� of the codes used by CVECO.
CVECO CODE 5 - Incident Outside Industry Boundary
This code is used when an accident of emergent or possibly dangerous nature occurs outside a plant boundary, where industry or CVECO assistance may be required.
CVECO CODE 6 � Traffic Control
This code is used when an incident goes, or has the potential to go beyond the boundaries of a plant. Traffic control is required in a designated area.
CVECO CODE 7 � Bomb Threat
This code is used to advise of a bomb threat.
CVECO CODE 8 �Noticeable Occurrence
This code is used to report a noticeable occurrence, or a potential problem, which could cause concern or inquiry by parties external to a CVECO member�s site. A noticeable occurrence is considered to be any �unusual� incident which can be seen, heard, smelled, felt or tasted.
Information Code 8: non-emergency activity that may cause inquiry, but the situation is considered to have no impact to the health and safety of the public
Emergency Code 8: a facility internal emergency occurrence that may cause inquiry, but the situation is considered to have no impact to the health and safety of the public.
CVECO CODE 9 � Request for Mutual Aid
This code is used to request assistance from the municipal fire department
